One upon a time, Pyrenees mimetized with their environment by learning how to take advantage of all their natural resources. Here and then, a group of women, the “remeieres", began offering plant recipes for each disease. That was the way, in these high mountain valleys, where popular wisdom on the therapeutic effects of herbs and pyrinnic plants was born.

Ana and Juan Luis, founders of Taüll Orgànics, wanted to make a dream come true and inspired by the “Welsh” tradition, created the first line of high-mountain natural products for health and well-being.

Over fifty years old, a little experience and illusion, they decided to move to a new life in the village of Taüll (la Vall de Boí), at 1500 m in height, in the Lleida Pyrenees.

It all began with the Àrnica (Arnica montana L.), one of the mythical high-mountain plants, increasingly threatened in its wild state. And they asked themselves why don’t we try to cultivate it instead of leasing them out of their natural environment?’ they bet on agriculture that allows for sustainable development of their environment and monitoring the quality of the active plant principles. Eco-agricultural farming by conviction. “We are what we eat and what we consume. Let us be pure, clean, organic and environmentally-friendly nature”.

Later, they had to learn everything else to get the product to the consumer, while developing new crops from other species.

The project was joined by his son Juan, a professional psychologist and great traveler. Agriculture is already part of his baggage, and his experience in business management is a key for keep on developing the “dream”, shared with his wife Yumi.
